About the Event
The featured speaker for our evening meeting is Jack Burrell. Jack is serving his third term in office and previously spent eight years as President of the Fairhope City Council. He achieved the Advanced Certified Municipal Official designation by the Alabama League of Municipalities in less than four years.
Jack holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from Mississippi State University, where he was also a sprinter on the varsity track team and inducted into the Engineering Student Hall of Fame. His career includes significant roles in aerospace engineering, including work on the Space Shuttle program with Teledyne Brown Engineering in Huntsville, Alabama. He is currently Principal Aerospace Engineer for i3 Corporation, responsible for projects with NASA, the Department of Defense, and the U.S. Armed Forces.
Jack has lived in Fairhope for 22 years with his wife, Patti. He has actively contributed to the community, including serving as past president of the Fairhope Educational Enrichment Foundation (FEEF) Board, member of the Fairhope United Methodist Church, and representative of the Fairhope City Council on various boards and committees.
